The nomination period has begun to identify candidates to serve on the next ISOA Board of Directors. A hallmark of ISOA, year in and year out, is having a strong and engaged Board of Directors. Being elected by the broad membership of ISOA and serving on the ISOA Board of Directors is indeed an honor, not to be taken lightly. The expectation is that Board members will roll-up their sleeves and participate in a hands-on manner. An agreement with this commitment will be included in the nomination process.
Board elections are held in the fall every year for a portion of the Board members. This year, eight of the 11 Board member seats are up for election. Each term is for two years, with staggered elections each year.
We thank two Board members for their service to ISOA who are not seeking re-election, Darryle Conway and Jeff Parsons. Darryle has served on the Board of Directors for many years, including as the Chairman of the ISOA Board of Directors. Jeff has also served with distinction as an Executive Vice President with AECOM.

Here is the timeline for Board elections:
- Call for Nominations: October 7–October 16
- Board Elections: October 21–October 30
- Winners Announced: November 4
- New Board Begins: November 15
Nominations are now open for these eight seats and will be accepted until Wednesday, October 16, 2023, at 5:00 PM EDT.
The nomination period from October 7 – October 16 will be via an automated process consisting of a self-nomination form. All Board of Directors members and candidates must be employed by an ISOA member-company. Individual/Sole Proprietor Members of ISOA may not serve on the Board of Directors.
Following a review of all interested candidates, the Elections Committee will provide a slate of candidates for the general membership to consider and will oversee the voting process. The Election Committee will consist of impartial ISOA members. The voting process from October 21 – October 30 will be such that each member company can cast up to 8 votes for the nominees. Only 1 slate of candidates will be voted on by each member company, and no candidate can receive more than 1 vote per company. The method of voting will be via a secure link sent to the Elections Committee.
Separate secure emails will be sent out to each member company for both nominations and for voting.
Thank you and sincerely,
ISOA President and Executive Director
